Peugeot 306 The Peugeot 306 was a small family car from the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1993 to 2002. Peugeot gave the 306 manyupdates and aesthetic changes to keep up the competition but it was replaced by the 307 in 2001. Cabriolet and estate versions continued until 2002. Versions were built in Argentina by Sevel (1996?2002). It was mechanically very much identical to the Citroen ZX, which entered the market in 1991.
It participated in several motorsports and won the Spa 24 hours endurance race in 1999 and 2000. In the 2006 Australian Used Car Safety Ratings, the Peugeot 306 manufactured between 1994 and 2001 was rated 'significantly better than average' which was a very good result for that time.

Mon 14 Jul 2003 23:20 Peugeot 306 HDI handbook - FP Just acquired a T-reg (1999) Peugeot 306 Estate with the HDI engine. Went to Halfords to buy a technical handbook, but the Haynes one, which claims to cover all models of the 306 up to T/1999 does NOT include the HDI engine. Dash8 300 Manual. As you'd expect, the owner's handbook is sparse, to say the least. I shall feel a bit insecure without any know-how when I take the car abroad soon. I'd buy the Haynes book (for the bits apart from the engine) if I could get a separate book on the engine.

(Never had a diesel before.) It's a male thing! Never heard of Russek handbooks, but I'll investigate. My French might be good enough to manage a French-language handbook (with a bit of help from a dictionary) and the tip about the Haynes Citroen Xsara is useful too.
Halfords tell me Haynes may eventually catch up with a revised 306 handbook, but not to hold my breath for it. Yale Mast Bearing Manual. Cheers, Chris.
